I have many fairly serious orthopedic problems, including arthritic knees, neck, and a very bad back. I also tend to get shin splints. I need the best stability and shock absorption I can find, and I think I have found it in this shoe. I run 5+ days a week, short distances but hard running. I am virtually pain free in this shoe! I have no reason to try any other shoes (except maybe the new version, nirvana 4).
