The machine is good and the balls won't damage anything because they are soft. They have a good flight on them when you hit them. But don't get the balls wet or else they will not go through the machine. They will bounce right in front of the home plate from 40 ft if they are wet.

The balls do not damage things because they are soft.(I''m using them in the basement.) The balls do mark up a little but seem to be very durable.

I receved the Tuffy SFT Baseballs to go along with the ATEC pitching machine and so far have been pleased with the purchase. The baseball seem to have good movement and similate regular baseballs well.While the baseballs do have good movement they do not travel as well as regular baseballs. This could be either good or bad depending on what you are trying to measure. The good aspect, as I see it, is that by not travwling like a regular baseball they are easier to collect after hitting. The negative aspect would be that you may not get a true estimate how well you are actually connecting with the ball.Overall I feel that it is a good product and serves my purposes well.

Since they are the only balls that work in the hitting streak pitching machine from ATEC, I had to give it a 4 star rating. I wish ATEC would make a pitching machine that used real baseballs and could be purchased for under $500.00. It would not have to throw breaking balls; fast balls would be satisfactory. The orange Tuffy SFT balls are better because they do not get as dirty as the white balls and are easier to see after excessive usage. The balls do everything the ATEC says they will and when you hit them solid they go just like a real baseball. My son is only 7 years old and this system is having a super impact on his hitting. Strongly recommend the system for kids under 9 years old.

THE ATEC TUFFY SFT BASEBALLS AND THE HITTING STREAK PITCHING MACHINE ARE THE GREATEST COACHING TOOLS I HAVE EVER USED. THE KIDS LOVE IT WHEN I USE THE MACHINE TO SHOOT FLY BALLS TO THEM, AND I SOMETIMES USE THE FLYBALL DRILL TO DETERMINE THE BATTING ORDER FOR PRACTICE. (THE LAST KID TO MISS A POP UP IS THE FIRST TO BAT!!) IT MAKES FOR VERY FUN COMPETITION. I HAVE ALSO USED THE HITTING STREAK FOR FAMILY TYPE PICK-UP GAMES. IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT WITH ONLY ONE DOWNFALL...IT CAN ONLY BE USED IN DRY CONDITIONS. IF IT STARTS TO RAIN, OR IF IT IS ALREADY WET OUTSIDE, THE HITTING STREAK IS RENDERED USELESS.

The ATEC system is great for kids to practice their batting skills. THe Balls are soft preventing most serious for young child and allowing them to improve their hand eye corrdination. The bucket of balls is a convenient way to buy and store the balls.
