I used this only twice ...
By Stan Lee from Marina Del Rey, CA on 1/6/2002

I used this only twice and one of the vinyl threaded pieces that holds the hooks (which are nailed to the ground to keep the goal in place) has already torn apart and all it took was a hard ball kicked by one of the players.

The nets are great and are helping my team to get better.

By cheney Joseph from River Road, St. George's, Grenada on 1/22/2001

Excellent training tool, used among kids who have not only appreciated the variable roles and effectiveness of its functions. They also wish that we had many more to accommodate the over 100 of them using it on weekends.

By David Vinnola from Littleton, Colorado on 1/15/2001

Have not actually used it yet since it is winter here in CO and the ground is still frozen, but we have taken the goald out of the carrying case and set it up. I think it is going to be a lot of fun for my 8 year old girl. I think her shots on goal and goalie abilities will improve dramatically. The goal is somewhat tricky to fold back up to get back in the carrying case. A few practice sessions are definetly required

My son has enjoyed his goals very much. He takes them to his soccer practice and to the park with his friend. I think they were a great investment for him.

By Alan Wasserman from Boulder, Colorado on 10/21/2000

Our daughter plays on a competitive U10 team and we wanted to purchase a goal so that she could practice at home. However we didn''t want one that would become a permament fixture in the yard. Her coach has two and I liked their portabilty and easy storage. They fit easily into the trunk of his car. Either my wife or myself can set it up or take it down in minutes(it folds up similiar to a sun visor for a car).

By Peter Desmond from Marysville, California on 10/19/2000

The goal is great for practice but the ball gets stuck in the net. Kind of a pain. But money well spent just the same.

By Bill Taylor from Franklin, Tennessee on 10/11/2000

Just like some of the other reviewers of this product, I found that the girls on my soccer team loved to kick balls into this net. I like the fact this goal is so portable, yet opens to a relatively large goal.

By Kimberly CharbeneauVerified Reviewer from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 9/10/2000

this goal is perfect for our practice fields. We have several teams that practice at the same time from kindergarten age to 6th grade. The goals are portable, easy to set up and take down.

By Kathleen Olsen from Fallston, Maryland on 8/30/2000

The quality of the product was better than expected. My kids use the goals in the yard and we take them to their practices for small sided matches.

By Andy Pease from Gorham, Maine on 8/23/2000

Took me a try or two to learn how to fold them up for storage...probably should have read the instruction manual first. They are easy to set up and are a great alternative to cones. My U-11 players love to see the ball go into the net. These goals seem indistructible. Great goals for anywhere!

By Ken Schinkel from Monroe Township, New Jersey on 8/23/2000

I purchased two goals and have had no problem opening or folding them up to put back in the bag. The instructions are worded strongly about young children opening them which I can understand. They spring open so you must relese them away from you. I have been using them for a few different age groups and have found them a help when there has not been a field available or structuring practices around small sided drills and scrimmages. The price is good for the quauility of the product. I gave it a 5.

By Jim Radcliff from Media, Pennsylvania on 7/31/2000

Fairly easy set up and colapse of the goal... it''s good for younger kids, though might not stand up to the older kids... the upper part of the net does not extend out as far as I thought it might, but thisis a minor problem... the kids think it''s great and that''s what matters!

Took a few tries to learn to fold it, but easy now. Very convenient, space effecient in my vehicle. Great to have.

Perfect for my practice session which tend to be in any open space I can find. Needed these about ten years ago!!

Setup is super easy. ...
By Stephen Shaw from Cincinnati, Ohio on 6/24/2000

Setup is super easy. Storing is easy once you figure it out. The compact size lets you take it wherever you want. Main drawback is the netting is too loose and it traps the ball. A better design would be to include a rebound effect so the ball enters, then bounces back out to the player. Make it removable for games when you want the ball to stay in. I am going to add this feature with some netting and stretch cord on my own.

By patricia driesVerified Reviewer from leroy, New York on 4/24/2000

Very durable net. It is harder to fold up than to take apart. After a few tries it becomes easier. The rings where the stakes hook in are easily lost but can be replaced with a key chain ring.

I was a little apprehensive about the set up/ take down of the goal , but it actually was easier then I expected. Looking forward to using the goals often in practicing with my son.

By Robert Cerutti from Wantage, New Jersey on 3/16/2000

Interesting product, works well, easily transported. A little difficult to get the knack of re-folding and packing up, but once you get it..it''s very easy and highly transportable.

By Robert Bertsch from Temple City, California on 2/20/2000

The goals are very light weight and easy to set up. The major problem is that the material used to make the goal compact makes it very hard to return the goal to its compact size after opened. Soccer players will enjoy the goals since they are a real target unlike cones. Overall with incrased use they are a big help.
