Comments about Wilson Wilson Official AVP Traditional Outdoor Game Volleyball:
Official game ball of the Association of Volleyball Professionals, the US men's pro beach volleyball tour, the Wilson is modeled in the traditional school of beach volleyball design: plain white leather cover, raised hand-sewn seams, and lots of sponsor graphics. My Wilson AVP balls only last 6 good months before they start to become noticably heavy (probably because I keep them in the garage, which tends to trap a lot of humidity). Most players use them or the Spalding Top Flite leather ball for the same reason: its the oldest style on the beach and plays as traditional beach volleyball players expect a beach volleyball to play. Wilson has done a good job improving on the old school design to make an excellent ball that will get you through at least one full beach season, so long as you don't get it wet. If you're going to be playing on dirt, grass, or in areas of high humidity or near swimming pools or lakes don't use this ball. Try the Wilson AVP silver or a Mikasa volleyball instead.
